Prime Minister Nawaf Salam stressed that “it is too early to talk about the issue of the meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and any high-level meeting with Israel needs great preparation,” adding, “We do not seek “normalization” with Israel, but for “peace,” and it is not the first time that Lebanon has conducted direct negotiations with Israel.”
Salam stressed that “establishing the ceasefire will be the basis of any new round of negotiations with Israel in Washington,” noting that “the path of Lebanon’s negotiations with Israel is not completely separate from the path of Islamabad.”
He revealed that “communication with the party takes place through the party’s ministers in the government.”
