An Israeli army spokesman announced that, in recent days, the forces of the 91st Division began specific ground activity targeting key sites in southern Lebanon with the aim of expanding the frontal defense area.
He pointed out that this operation comes within the framework of efforts aimed at consolidating the forward defense zone and includes destroying terrorist infrastructure and eliminating terrorist elements operating in the region, with the aim of removing threats and creating an additional security layer for the residents of the north.
He pointed out that before the forces entered, the IDF, through artillery and air forces, attacked many terrorist targets in the region to eliminate threats.
Adraei added: The division's forces, in addition to offensive efforts, continue to carry out the mission of defending the towns of Galilee alongside the forces of the 146th Division.
He concluded: The IDF will continue to work forcefully against the terrorist Hezbollah, which has decided to join the battle and work under the auspices of the Iranian terrorist regime, and will not allow the citizens of the State of Israel to be harmed.
