The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed its strong condemnation of the attempt to target the territory of the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with three drones on 5/17/2026.
The Ministry confirmed that these attacks constitute a violation of the United Nations Charter and international law, including Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026) dated 3/11/2026, which condemned the attacks on Arab countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stressed Lebanon's full solidarity with the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its support for all measures it takes to maintain its security and stability and protect its citizens and residents.
It also condemned the attack that targeted vital installations in the United Arab Emirates using drones, and the resulting fire broke out outside the Barakah Atomic Energy Plant in the Al Dhafra region, in an extremely dangerous development that affects the security of nuclear facilities and the safety and stability of the region.
