US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that “an agreement on the nuclear file cannot be reached in 72 hours,” while Washington announced that the understanding that may be reached with Tehran to end the war in the Middle East does not include the nuclear file.
He continued in a statement to the New York Times: “We will not postpone the matter until a later time. Nuclear talks are very technical issues. A nuclear issue cannot be completed in 72 hours, so we now have seven or eight countries in the region that support this approach, and we are ready to move forward.”
Hours ago, Rubio spoke about "the possibility that the world will receive good news in the next few hours."
He said: “I think there is a possibility that the world may receive good news in the next few hours.”
Rubio, who is making his first visit to India, believed that "the expected understanding will dispel the United States' concerns about the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has practically closed in response to the American-Israeli attack."
He added: "The understanding will also constitute the beginning of a process that will ultimately lead us to what the president wants, which is a world that no longer fears or worries about an Iranian nuclear weapon." According to Agence France-Presse.
