Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi sent two separate congratulatory messages to Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem on the occasion of “Resistance and Liberation Day.” Araqchi said in his two letters that he congratulated the state, the people and the resistance in Lebanon on the anniversary of “Resistance and Liberation Day,” praising the “historic victory” achieved by the Lebanese people by removing the “Zionist entity” from southern Lebanon in the year 2000. He also affirmed Iran's continued "steadfast and decisive" support for Lebanon's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and for supporting the "legitimate resistance" of the Lebanese people in the face of the Israeli occupation and attacks.
