US Secretary of State Marco Rubio officially announced the end of the duties of the US Ambassador to Turkey, Tom Barrack, as the US Special Envoy to Syria.
Rubio said, in a post on the “X” platform, that the end of Barak’s mission under this title does not mean that he will move away from the region’s files, stressing that he will continue to play a prominent leadership role within the administration of US President Donald Trump in the Syria and Iraq files.
