The final statement of the Islamic-Christian Spiritual Summit affirmed the support of the Lebanese state in its efforts to find solutions that preserve Lebanon’s rights and work to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire, stressing that confronting the Israeli aggression requires a strong national unity that emerges from state institutions and the comprehensive national decision.
The statement considered that the Israeli enemy's singling out of specific Lebanese areas for killing, displacement and occupation does not mean that the rest of the areas enjoy security, stressing that all Lebanese are concerned with defending their homeland within the framework of the custodial and responsible state.
The summit called for strengthening national unity and rejecting any speech or practice that would expose it to disintegration. It also appealed to sister countries and international organizations to stand by Lebanon by supporting the affected and displaced people and contributing to reconstruction efforts.
The statement stressed the importance of strengthening the culture of national belonging, supporting the Lebanese army, and respecting religions and religious symbols, stressing that the Lebanese form one national family united by a common destiny, and that the state remains the primary reference in protecting the homeland and confronting attacks.
