The Minister of Public Health, Dr. Rakan Nasser Al-Din, condemned that three government hospitals and the Lebanese Civil Defense Center in the Nabatieh and Bint Jbeil districts suffered significant material damage due to the escalation of Israeli attacks in recent hours, which led to the injury of eleven health workers. Minister Nasser Al-Din made a call yesterday evening to the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, in which he informed him of the human casualties and major material damage that befell these facilities, as a result of the aggression that did not provide civilian facilities belonging to the Lebanese state. Minister Nasser Al-Din - according to a statement issued by his media office - requested continued efforts to ensure the implementation of international humanitarian law, which stipulates the protection of medical units and facilities and health workers who make great sacrifices and risk their lives in order to ensure the continuity of the work of medical institutions in areas exposed to Israeli aggression. An Israeli raid on the city of Nabatieh, close to President Nabih Berri Governmental Hospital and the Civil Defense Center in the city, resulted in serious material damage to the hospital and the injury of two workers, in addition to burning the Civil Defense Center, which was almost completely damaged and nine health workers were injured. There was also major damage to both the Tibnin and Bint Jbeil government hospitals due to the Israeli raids that took place near the two hospitals. It is an indication that Bint Jbeil Hospital was forced to stop operating due to Israeli threats and attacks, while President Berri and Tibnin Hospitals continue, despite the dangers posed by the aggression, to keep their doors open and provide health and medical services.
