In a statement, the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Establishment stated to its subscribers that it had “put under collection the 2026 issuance schedules, as of 1/7/2026,” and called on all subscribers to “pay their due water allowances, for the year 2026 and before, by: specialized collectors, distribution department funds, POS MACHINE electronic payment machines located in the distribution departments and OMT Online Money Transfer Company centers.” She noted, “Given the current economic conditions, I issued the following decisions: 1- Exemption from late fines on subscription allowances for the year 2025 and before at a rate of (85%). 2 - Payment of late allowances for the years prior to the year 2026 for a maximum period of December 2028. 3 - Facilitating the process of obtaining new subscriptions for former subscribers whose owners still have debts, as they can be paid in installments for a maximum period of December 2028. 4 - Reducing the establishment fee for new subscriptions for buildings connected to water networks by a percentage of: -(28%) for water subscriptions by standard. -(15%) for metered water subscriptions. 5 - Reducing the fee for changing subscribers’ names by (90%). 6 - Reducing the temporary subscription renewal fee by (90%). 7 - Payment of the allowances for the year 2026 to those who wish to participate in up to seven detailed installments as follows: The first installment is due before the end of June 2026 The second is due before the end of July 2026 The third is due before the end of August 2026 The fourth is due before the end of September 2026 The fifth is due before the end of October 2026 The sixth is due before the end of November 2026 The seventh is due before the end of December 2026 I hope that “the participants will respond to this announcement and pay the amounts due from them without any delay, especially the arrears in accordance with Article (24) of the investment system in force at the Corporation and issued by Decree No. 14597 dated 6/14/2005.” She considered that "this announcement represents a personal notification to each participant and is irreversible of the passage of time."
