The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: “With the end of the academic year and the start of celebrations for baccalaureate students - the second section, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces reminds students and school administrations of the necessity of keeping celebrations within safe and legal frameworks, in order to preserve their safety and the safety of citizens. In this context, on 5/26/2026, the New Sir Detachment in the Regional Gendarmerie Unit organized two arrest reports against the owners of two “pick-up” vehicles that were carrying baccalaureate students - the second section, in a way that exposed them to danger. This General Directorate also warns against dangerous practices, especially organizing motor convoys, traveling by trucks and vehicles not designated for transporting passengers, sitting on vehicle windows, exiting through roof hatches, and using firecrackers, stressing that traffic police will take the necessary legal measures against violators. Our dear students, your success is a joy for all of us... Rejoice in safety.”
