A Palestinian National Security official, Muhammad al-Saadi, nicknamed “Muhammad Fathi,” was killed as a result of an assassination carried out by unknown persons inside the Ain al-Hilweh camp. The official, Haitham Ghoutani, who was with the victim, was also injured, according to what the National News Agency reported. According to information, “The Al-Hisbah road in the camp is witnessing a state of tension and alert, coinciding with the deployment of elements linked to Al-Saadi, while heavy gunfire is heard in the air.” A state of anxiety also prevailed among the people, while the circumstances or causes of the accident have not yet become clear.
