The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani, saw Israel as exaggerating its response to the clashes instead of calming down. In an interview with the Financial Times, he revealed the existence of a mechanism to prevent escalation in Lebanon, which includes verifying the ceasefire. The Qatari Foreign Minister explained that preventing escalation in Lebanon is coordinated between Beirut, Washington, Tehran and mediators. He stressed that the Swiss talks established permanent settlement negotiations and work is just beginning, and that the regional goal is to build a new security framework between the countries of the region and Iran. He said: “Any model for the Hormuz administration must be discussed with Iran, Oman, and the Gulf states. The strait is still open and we have received confirmation that it will not be ordered closed.” He added: “Navigation in Hormuz is supposed to return to its levels within 30 days of the agreement.” He stressed the necessity of establishing the line of communication agreed upon in Switzerland between Washington and Tehran to prevent obstruction of the Hormuz conquest, confront misleading information, and remove mines. The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister pointed out the possibility that  The Gulf countries are required to finance the investment fund with Iran in the future.
