The former head of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt, confirmed that the Lebanese Army alone is responsible for the security of the homeland and the south,  stressing that the armistice agreement and that it alone takes care of the relationship between the Lebanese state and Israel. Jumblatt warned against tampering with the army’s doctrine under any name or mission in light of this chaos in the agreements from the Gulf to Switzerland.
