Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a major achievement for Israel, stressing that Israel will remain in the security belt until Hezbollah is disarmed.
He considered that the framework agreement represents a strong blow to Iran, which tried to impose a withdrawal on Israel from southern Lebanon, stressing that this agreement confirms the absence of any role for Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Regarding field movements, he explained that the Lebanese army will be allowed to begin controlling two experimental areas in southern Lebanon. One of them is located outside the security belt, while the second is located in the expanded area that the army does not want.
He concluded by confirming that the return of Lebanese residents or Hezbollah to the security belt area under Israeli control is prohibited.
