Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a press conference this evening, during which he touched on the tripartite framework agreement with Lebanon under American sponsorship.
Commenting on the signing of the agreement, Netanyahu said: “The Lebanese government has shown great courage, and this is a strong blow to Iran and Hezbollah.”
Netanyahu stated that Israel is still committed to the yellow line, and claimed: “This is a great achievement because they tried to get us out of there by various means and pressure.”
He stated that by signing the agreement, the Lebanese government is practically saying to Iran and Hezbollah, “Get out of Lebanon and leave it alone.”
He stressed that "there is still work to be done in Lebanon, especially in confronting the problem of explosive drones."
He announced that "the Israeli army will begin to withdraw from the experimental areas in the villages of Zawtar al-Gharbiya and Faron in southern Lebanon."
He also presented a map that included the areas where the experimental phase would begin, according to Russia Today.
