The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: In accordance with the decision of the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmed Al-Hajjar, which stipulated strengthening procedures for controlling violations of motorized bicycles in Beirut and combating violations and violations committed by their drivers that pose a threat to them and to public safety, the Beirut Traffic Brigade in the Beirut Police Unit implemented a campaign to control these violations within the capital, including the establishment of circumstantial and fixed barriers, and resulted in the impoundment of 880 motorbikes. And /58/ violating cars, and /4528/ violation reports, during the period extending between 06-24-2026 and 07-01-2026. The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces confirms its continued control of violations, and calls on citizens to settle the status of their legal mechanisms and adhere to the applicable laws and regulations, in order to preserve public safety.
