The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, made a phone call this afternoon with the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Dr. Nabil Fahmy, and congratulated him on assuming his new duties, wishing him success in achieving the goals he announced before starting his duties. President Aoun extended an invitation to Secretary-General Fahmy to visit Lebanon. Dr. Fahmi thanked President Aoun for his congratulations, stressing that Lebanon will remain at the center of the interests of the League of Arab States in defense of its just causes and its rights to sovereignty and dignity, especially since Lebanon is a founding member of the League.
