The Minister of Labor, Dr. Muhammad Haidar, visited the industrial city in Tyre, accompanied by MPs Ali Khreis and Hussein Jishi and a number of events, as part of a southern tour that included the South and Nabatieh governorates to inspect the commercial markets and industrial areas that were subjected to the Israeli aggression, where they were informed of the extent of the destruction caused to economic institutions and facilities. Minister Haidar stressed that “what happened to the industrial city reflects the extent of the targeting that affected the economic power in the region, in an attempt by the Israeli enemy to eliminate the elements of production and prevent the people of the region from quickly returning to the city of Tire and the south in general.” He pointed out that "despite the destruction and dangers, there is a determination from the people of the South to continue and remain steadfast." He said: "The people of the South are staying and will return, and the government is determined to launch the reconstruction workshop as soon as the necessary funding is secured," explaining that "programs are currently being developed, and communications are continuing at various levels to secure funding as soon as possible." He added: "The various sectors are determined to resume production, return workers to their work, and return citizens to their homes, which contributes to accelerating Lebanon's renaissance, sending a message to the international community to shoulder its responsibilities, as a guarantor of the ceasefire, and to work to ensure a real cessation of Israeli attacks and curb the aggression." For his part, Representative Khreis confirmed that “the Israeli enemy insisted on targeting the Lebanese economy,” considering that “the clear response is to remain steadfast and remain in the land and not abandon it and its values,” noting that “Imam Mr. Musa al-Sadr taught us that Israel is absolute evil.” He called on the government to "hold one of its sessions in the city of Tire or Nabatieh, to see on the ground the extent of the damage caused by the Israeli aggression." In turn, Representative Jishi pointed to the brutality of the Zionist enemy, stressing that “the Lebanese people are steadfast and determined to live in dignity, and that their will today is stronger than ever before.” He said: “The martyrs who rose are ammunition to complete the confrontation of this enemy,” stressing that “the occupation has two options: either to leave Lebanese territory, or the resistance will always remain ready, and heads and aspirations will remain high.” Minister Haider and the accompanying delegation then headed to the city of Tyre, where he toured its neighborhoods and looked closely at the extent of the destruction that befell the city as a result of the war.
