After two tankers were targeted in Hormuz... Gulf condemnations and a Qatari protest note

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Iran's targeting of two Saudi and Qatari tankers as they were crossing the Strait of Hormuz, noting that the rejected Iranian attacks are an assault on the security of international navigation and global energy supplies.
Saudi Arabia called on Iran to immediately stop everything that threatens the security of the region and the safety of international navigation and energy supplies.
In turn, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the aggressive Iranian attack on a Qatari tanker while it was crossing the Strait of Hormuz.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the targeting of the Qatari tanker Al-Rakyat as it was crossing near Hormuz.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry indicated that it summoned the Iranian ambassador and handed him a protest note against the attack on the Qatari tanker, stressing that the protest note included the State of Qatar’s categorical rejection of the attack and the infringement it represents on the security of international navigation.
She continued: The protest note called on Iran to immediately stop any practices that affect the security of the region and endanger the security of navigation.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry confirmed that the memorandum preserves Qatar’s rights to take what it deems appropriate in accordance with international law to protect its interests.
