The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the end of a new round of strikes on Iran, revealing that it targeted more than 80 targets with precision munitions, in response to the recent attacks against commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
Centcom said that on July 7, US forces completed a round of “offensive strikes” against Iran, stressing that the operation was an immediate response to the latest Iranian attacks that targeted commercial ships crossing the strait.
According to the statement, the targets included Iranian air defense systems, command and control networks, coastal radar sites, and anti-ship missile capabilities, in addition to more than 60 small boats belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in and around the Strait of Hormuz.
