Representative Hussein Al-Haj Hassan affirmed during a ceremony honoring the martyr Hussein Wahib Yassin held by Hezbollah in the “Ahl Al-Bayt Complex” in the pavilion that “the most important elements of power that Iran possesses is the unity of the people and the unity of the regime, and their cohesion with each other, knowing that the Israelis and Americans have bet since the assassination of His Eminence the martyr leader Sayyed Ali Al-Husseini Khamenei (may God be pleased with him) that the people would revolt and overthrow the regime, but the testimony of the Imam the leader turned into a source of strength, and his blood became a source of unity for the people.” And for the Iranian regime, that is, the American-Israeli goal of killing His Eminence the Leader turned out to be the opposite of what they wanted.” Representative Hajj Hassan pointed out that Iran threatened, before the outbreak of war on February 28, 2026, to close the Strait of Hormuz, and used it, and used it well, and this led to very significant negative consequences for the American and global economy, and this factor, along with other factors, led to America going to negotiate with Iran and then signing a framework agreement. Representative Hajj Hassan stressed that one of the most important principles of negotiation in the whole world is that the negotiator has the strength of the cards. However, the strength of the authority in Lebanon is reliance on America and friendship with it. So they went to rounds of direct negotiations with the enemy, to come up with an ambiguous agreement. As one of the Lebanese political leaders said, this agreement is tripartite in form and unilateral in content, meaning that it is Lebanese-American-Israeli in form, but in content it is completely Israeli. He said, “This agreement is completely Israeli.” America dictated it to Israel and to the authority in Lebanon, which has no experience in negotiation and international relations, and its only concern is to remain in power.” He continued, when the agreement was signed between America and Iran, Israeli officials and the Israeli media came out expressing it as a disaster, while when the Lebanese authority signed the agreement with Israel, Israeli and military officials came out to say that this is an achievement for Israel, expressing their opinion of this agreement, and therefore, the result is clear, such that what Iran brought to the Lebanese side are positives for Lebanon, and what the authority brought to Lebanon is negative for Lebanon. Representative Hajj Hassan stressed that the authority in Lebanon cannot say that it represents the people in these times, as it represents a part of the Lebanese people, not all of them, and we are not talking about the environment of the national duo, Hezbollah and the Amal Movement, but rather there are now large political forces who are speaking in the media about this agreement, which those in power are bragging about. Representative Hajj Hassan pointed out that the officials in power swore an oath to the unity of the Lebanese, but they tore apart the unity of the Lebanese, by linking in their shameful agreement a ceasefire, the enemy’s withdrawal, the return of the displaced, the return of prisoners, and reconstruction, with Israeli consent, so that whenever they wanted to leave a neighborhood in any town, the Israeli army had the right, according to the shameful agreement, to say that the Lebanese army did not fulfill its role as it should, to then set the conditions, and thus the people could not return to their villages according to this concept that they set. In the agreement, what is worse is that this authority linked the return of the prisoners to “Ron Arad,” and what is worse is that they threaten the resistance and its people by bringing in foreign forces to help them disarm, but they will not be able to disarm the resistance with the foreign forces.
