The Emiri Diwan in the State of Qatar announced, on Sunday, the death of former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani at the age of 74 years. He said in a statement: “We mourn with hearts that believe in God’s will and destiny the deceased of the great nation who was forgiven, God willing, His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who passed away on Sunday morning, Muharram 27, 1448, corresponding to July 12, 2026, at the age of 74 years.”
