The Bint Jbeil Municipality announced that “the Zionist enemy continues to implement the systematic ‘urban annihilation’ plan for the homes of Bint Jbeil and all its neighborhoods.” She said in a statement: “O our steadfast people, oh proud sons of Bint Jbeil, while our city stands witness to the arrogance of the occupation and its crimes, the Zionist enemy continues to implement the plan of systematic “urban annihilation” of Bint Jbeil’s homes and all its neighborhoods. What our reality is witnessing today is no longer mere military operations, but rather a comprehensive barbaric aggression that combines bombing and blowing up buildings, and the use of more than 20 heavy excavators in an organized bulldozing operation to erase landmarks. The city is not limited to demolition only, but extends to stealing the contents of homes before they are destroyed, and looting iron and construction materials after filling them in, in a scene that reflects the reality of this entity based on looting and destruction. The statement added: “The municipality of Bint Jbeil, while conveying the cry of its people, announces the following: First: This systematic destruction is a described war crime aimed at uprooting the people from their roots and changing the urban identity of our city. Second: We turn to the Lebanese government, the Presidency of the Republic, and the concerned parties, to say that the policy of silence and spectatorship is no longer acceptable. Today, more than ever, the state is required to take immediate and effective action to protect what remains of the city, and to raise its voice in international forums to stop this urban massacre. Third: We categorically reject that Bint Jbeil and the south as a whole remain at the mercy of the Zionist war machine while the state contents itself with timid statements of condemnation. The state's primary duty is to provide protection for its citizens and their property. Fourth: Where does the national priority lie today? Is it in the paths that might lead to making free concessions to the enemy, or to preserving the property of the southerners for which they paid with their blood and the sweat of their years? The statement asked: “How can any political path guarantee the dignity of the nation if it does not place at the core of its concerns the protection of southerners and their legitimate rights? Is there any point in betting on paths that only give weight to narrow interests, while the enemy only gives weight to force and deterrence?” He said: "Bint Jbeil, which was and will remain a thorn in the side of the aggressors, will not forget or forgive, and will remain committed to its right to land, home and existence. We will pursue these crimes in all legal and humanitarian frameworks."
