Iran's representative to the International Maritime Organization, Ali Mousavi, said on Sunday that the Strait of Hormuz remains open to all ships except those linked to "Iran's enemies," after US President Donald Trump threatened to target Iranian power plants if the waterway was not fully opened within 48 hours.
Iran's threat to launch attacks during the US-Israeli war on it prevented most ships from crossing the narrow strait, which represents a passage for about a fifth of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas supplies, threatening a global energy crisis.
