US President Donald Trump announced that the United States will launch “strong strikes” against Iran today and tomorrow, considering that Tehran did not respect the memorandum of understanding, which was, as he described it, a “test.” In a phone interview with the "Hugh Hewitt Show," Trump stressed that Iran could not be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon, saying that the Iranians "if they obtained a nuclear weapon, they would use it within one day." He pointed out that military operations against Iran may last from two to three weeks, declaring that the nuclear facilities located under the mountains will be among the possible targets, pointing out that "the Jabal Al-Ax facility may be the target of a major strike." Trump added that he would achieve victory “either through negotiations or through a military solution,” and said: “I cannot say that the ceasefire is over.” He pointed out that an agreement with Iran was in place “100%” the day before, before the situation suddenly changed, adding: “They received a phone call and they all left the room.” Regarding his relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump said that it is “very good,” noting that he sometimes disagrees with him and informs him of that, considering that Netanyahu is a wartime prime minister who performed his job well. Trump said: “If it were not for me and for Netanyahu, Israel would not exist today.” In another context, Trump had previously stated that: “It is 90% likely that Mojtaba Khamenei has been killed.”
