Member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, Representative Ali Fayyad, said that what our people in the south are exposed to, in terms of targeting, assassinations, and attacks, or what the occupied border villages are subjected to in terms of destruction, bulldozing, and burning, by the Israeli army, which it practices under the cover of the official Lebanese authority, which legitimized the enemy’s justifications and pretexts when it approved the framework agreement, which constitutes a scandal by all national and international standards. He saw that this Lebanese authority is acting with the logic of the defeated, and is negotiating the terms of its surrender. While it justifies its practices and positions by seeking to get out of the situation that Lebanon is suffering from as a result of the Israeli occupation and aggression, in reality, and in terms of results and expectations, it has perpetuated the occupation, provided cover for its aggression, hollowed out sovereignty, deepened the division among the Lebanese, threatened internal stability, and weakened the national position. It presented an image of the authority in Lebanon, as a mere puppet that combines stupidity, naivety, and dependence on the outside world. He added: In recent days, the scene has become more complex and heated, at the regional level, which calls for greater caution and attention on the Lebanese side, and this forces us to be prepared for all possibilities, when the American does not adhere to what he pledged in the first clause regarding the Lebanese situation in the memorandum of understanding with the Iranians, and when this American turns into a puppet manipulated by the Israeli, and pushes him to an escalation that benefits him nothing and contradicts his interests, and when the Israeli continues with his aggression and daily violations. For a ceasefire, it is natural, in the face of that, to see those Yemeni and Iraqi positions, as well as the firm Iranian position, which reaffirms that the resistance in Lebanon will not be alone in the face of any escalation targeting it, and that the friends of the Lebanese people will stand by them steadfastly.
