After Iran... Zamir directs the compass towards Lebanon: The battle has begun

IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir approved plans to enhance operations in Lebanon, in coordination with the General Staff Forum, division commanders and brigade commanders operating in the northern sector.
Zamir said: “Iran is the focus of our efforts, and the northern arena is another central arena. They are interconnected. Hezbollah is a central arm of the Iranian regime, and it made a grave mistake by joining the campaign against Israel. This choice harms it and the entire state of Lebanon. The message is clear: There is no safe place for the regime and its agents, and any threat to Israel will be met with a firm, precise and strong response.”
He added: The campaign against Hezbollah has only begun now - by the end of the campaign in Iran, Hezbollah will be left alone and isolated. It is a long campaign and we are fully prepared for it. Now, we are preparing to intensify maneuvers and attacks, according to a systematic plan. We will not stop until the threat is removed from the border and long-term security is achieved. In conjunction with the attacks, the Israeli army is strengthening the front line of defense to protect the residents of the north.
