US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met on Sunday, at the ministry’s headquarters, with the President of the Lebanese Republic, Joseph Aoun, where they discussed the implementation of the tripartite framework agreement. During the meeting, Rubio affirmed Washington's commitment to supporting the implementation of the agreement. The US State Department indicated that Rubio praised the Lebanese government's efforts to restore sovereignty, disarm Hezbollah, and dismantle its structure, stressing his country's support for Lebanon's efforts to achieve peace and economic recovery.
