President Joseph Aoun, after his meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, stressed the importance of coordination between Lebanon and the United States regarding the implementation of the tripartite framework, especially by achieving an initial Israeli withdrawal from the model area. Aoun stressed the need to strengthen American support for the Lebanese army and military institutions, and to take practical steps to consolidate American interest in Lebanon at the economic and investment levels, especially in the energy, communications, and transportation sectors.
