Information reported, today, Monday, that the artist Fadel Shaker left Lebanese territory, heading to Doha, with humanitarian follow-up from the Qatari ambassador to Lebanon, Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani.
According to information, Shaker will reside in Qatar permanently, but his first public concerts will be in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, the Permanent Military Court in Lebanon decided to lift the travel ban imposed on the artist Fadel Shaker, a week after the decision to release him on financial bail.
The decision stipulated the return of his passport, in exchange for his commitment to appear before the court in all future sessions of the cases pending against him.
The decision came after the court agreed to release Shaker in four cases, after about nine months he spent in detention.
The value of the guarantees amounted to 500 million Lebanese pounds (about 5,500 dollars), distributed at 100 million pounds for each of the first three cases, and 200 million pounds in the fourth case, known as the “Abra file.”
