The Information and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Lebanese Civil Defense issued the following statement: “Search and rescue teams of the General Directorate of Lebanese Civil Defense, with the support of the Lebanese Army, continue their field work in the western town of Zawtar. Search and rescue operations carried out yesterday and today resulted in the recovery of the bodies of four martyrs from under the rubble, and civil defense teams worked to transfer them to area hospitals. The field teams also worked, with the support of elements from neighboring centers, to strengthen public safety measures and provide the necessary assistance to families and citizens returning to their homes and neighborhoods to inspect them, in order to preserve their safety and facilitate their movement.”
