Trump indicated: “The United States is in a state of complete readiness and is ready to act against the Islamic Republic of Iran with levels of military power, capabilities, and deterrence that the world has not seen since World War II.” He added: "However, Iran asked us, along with other countries in the Middle East, to postpone any attack, after reaching the broad outlines of an agreement." “This agreement includes the immediate and complete opening of the Strait of Hormuz and ending the Iranian nuclear threat.” He concluded: “Based on this request, I agreed, for the sake of a better future for the world, as well as for Iran to remain a successful and prosperous country, to cancel the attack, provided that an agreement can be concluded quickly.” He stressed that “the State of Israel supports me in this commitment. Let's all get to work, and let's get this agreement done."
