The first investigating judge in Beirut, Rula Othman, issued her presumptive decision regarding the case of activist Ali Berro, keeping him detained in accordance with the misdemeanors assigned to him and preventing him from being tried for the felonies assigned to him. If the decision is not appealed by the Public Prosecution of Appeal in Beirut, his file will be referred for trial before the single criminal judge in Beirut.
