Vice President of the Free Patriotic Movement for Administrative Affairs, Ghassan Al-Khoury, said that the Lebanese are once again experiencing the scene of fuel crises, considering that “citizens are once again facing a gasoline and electricity crisis, while the Ministry of Energy is still absent from addressing people’s concerns.” Al-Khoury added that the ministry is “only present at fuel deals that are surrounded by controversy, and fuel ships that raise question marks,” considering that “the Lebanese no longer trust promises, and that what is required is actual management of the energy file instead of just managing crises.” Al-Khoury stressed that the continuation of crises in the energy sector reflects the absence of vision and effective management, calling on the government and the Ministry of Energy to assume their responsibilities and develop an urgent emergency plan that guarantees the stability of the fuel market and secures electricity for citizens, away from temporary solutions.
