The foreign ministers of the UAE, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt condemned the declared Israeli rejection of the road map to complete the implementation of US President Donald Trump’s comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza, which was endorsed by UN Security Council Resolution 2803, as well as the Israeli rejection of the establishment of a Palestinian state. A joint statement from the eight countries said that Israel's rejection of the plan “directly threatens to thwart the intense efforts made by Trump to end the war in Gaza and create the necessary conditions to achieve lasting peace.” The eight countries held Israel “directly and fully responsible” for any consequences resulting from continued rejection, obstruction, delay, or non-compliance with the plan, including any deterioration in field conditions or disruption of efforts aimed at ending the war. The countries affirmed their rejection of the Israeli position on the American plan, stressing the need to push for a settlement that ends the war and opens the way to stability and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. The ministers also stressed the importance of the continued role played by the Peace Council, calling on all parties to support its efforts to implement the road map and move forward with the implementation of the second phase of the Trump plan. The statement called on the United States to exert pressure on Israel to ensure its full commitment to the arrangements and pledges contained in the comprehensive plan and its road map, and to prevent any additional obstruction to their implementation.
