The Ministry of Social Affairs announced that monthly financial aid will be transferred to beneficiaries of the Aman program, starting Thursday, August 20, 2026. The number of beneficiaries is 106,553 Lebanese families, while the total funds transferred within the program this month amount to 13,585,545 US dollars. The transfer of this payment comes after the completion of the administrative and financial procedures that the Ministry had referred to in its previous statement, which allowed the bulk of the aid to be disbursed directly from the Lebanese state budget. The Ministry apologized to the beneficiary families for the delay in this payment, stressing the continuation of work to strengthen national financing for the Aman program and ensuring its continuity and regular transfers. It indicated that it continues to work to secure the necessary financing for the next stage, including completing the path related to financing from the World Bank, which is still awaiting approval by the House of Representatives.
