His Excellency Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nabih Berri, received, at the headquarters of the Second Presidency in Ain al-Tineh, the Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Trade, Amer Al-Bassat, the Chairman of the Economic Bodies, former Minister Mohamed Choucair, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Lebanon, Fahd Salem Saeed Al-Kaabi, the Ambassador of Lebanon to the Emirates, Tariq Mneimneh, and a number of investors in the United Arab Emirates participating in the Emirati-Lebanese Economic Forum. The meeting discussed the general situation in Lebanon and the region, ways to enhance cooperation and partnership, and investment opportunities in Lebanon, in addition to bilateral relations between Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates. Speaker Berri also received the First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Lebanon, Dr. Wassim Mansouri, where they discussed the financial and economic conditions.
