The morning weather bulletin issued by the Estimates Department at the Meteorological Service in Lebanon, today, Saturday, August 29, 2026, stated that Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin are gradually being affected by a moderately effective air depression, accompanied by relatively cold air masses, leading to instability in the atmosphere starting at noon. The depression carries scattered rain, sometimes heavy and accompanied by lightning, thunder, and active winds that intensify at times, and its effect will continue until noon tomorrow, Sunday, when the weather begins to gradually stabilize. The Meteorological Service warned of the formation of torrents on the roads, especially in the north of the country, during the period of the depression’s influence. Expected weather: Sunday: Partly cloudy as temperatures continue to drop, and fog forms in the highlands. Scattered, sometimes heavy, rain falls during the morning, especially in the southern and northern regions, with lightning and thunder occurring. The winds will be active at times, and the sea waves will rise with them, but the rain will subside starting in the afternoon and the weather will gradually stabilize. Monday: Partly cloudy to partly cloudy, with a noticeable rise in temperatures in the mountains and inland, active winds at times, and fog forming in the middle highlands during the evening. Tuesday: Few clouds, with an additional rise in temperatures, especially in the mountains and inland. The average temperature for the month of August in Tripoli is between 24 and 32 degrees Celsius, in Beirut it is between 25 and 33 degrees, and in Zahle it is between 18 and 35 degrees.
