China narrowly wins over Lebanon in the Basketball World Cup qualifiers

The Lebanese men's basketball team suffered its second loss in the Asian qualifiers for the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Qatar, and it came with difficulty at the hands of the Chinese national team, by one basket, 87-89, on the latter's soil, in the second match of the fourth window in Group Six.
Lebanon, under the leadership of coach Ahmed Farran, now has 6 victories versus two losses, knowing that the first three places will qualify directly for the World Championship.
The quarters ended in favor of the winner as follows: (23-14), (23-28), (21-27), and (22-18).
The "Cedars" men played one of their strongest matches against the Chinese team, as the Lebanese team almost achieved a valuable and historic victory against one of the giants of the Asian continent, but the Chinese team knew how to score its last chance and snatch the victory with difficulty.
Omar Jamal Al-Din was the best scorer in the match with 19 points, including 4 three-pointers, 12 rebounds and 3 assists, Heik Goyukjian added 16 points and 4 rebounds, DJ Vanderburk 12 points with 3 rebounds, Sergio Darwish 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, while Amir Saud and Youssef Khayyat were satisfied with 7 points each.
