US President Donald Trump has escalated his rhetoric towards Iran, describing it as “officially a failed state” and a “dead state.” The US President announced on Monday that US air defenses intercepted all Iranian missiles launched towards US forces, with the exception of one missile, stressing that the United States will strike Iran forcefully in response to the missile attack that targeted US forces in Jordan. He stressed that "Iran no longer has a navy, an air force, or a valuable currency," adding that it "does not pay the salaries of its soldiers or policemen," pointing out that "the inflation rate in Iran has reached 300 percent, while its leadership suffers," as he described it, "a state of complete confusion and inability to represent the country properly."
