The General Directorate of State Security - Department of Information, Guidance and Public Relations issued the following statement: “As part of its intensive efforts in the North Governorate with the aim of combating violations that affect the economic and health security of citizens, the North Regional Directorate of State Security implemented a number of measures, as its patrols, supported by observers from the Ministries of Health and Economy, inspected five warehouses belonging to (Z.H. and his partners) company for grains and foodstuffs, in the locality of Chekka - Batroun. It was found that the warehouses did not meet the health conditions required to store and preserve food, in addition to the presence of some grains in a damaged state and unfit for consumption. Based on the recommendation of the competent judiciary, the warehouses were sealed with red wax and legal action was taken against their owners. Likewise, based on a signal from the Public Prosecution of Appeal in the North, patrols from the Northern Regional Directorate confiscated 11 electrical generators for the benefit of the municipalities, due to their owners not adhering to the official pricing issued by the Ministry of Energy, in addition to violations related to feeding hours. The generators included: (M.M.) in Qalamoun, (A.Z.) and (K.S.) on the Qalamoun Highway, and (A.N.) on North Haven Street. - Al-Qalamoun, and (R.F.) in the locality of Abu Samra - Tripoli, and (M.F.) in Al-Hakila Street - Ras Maska, and (A.A.) in the Nakhla locality, and (M.K.) in Al-Beddawi, and (A.K.) in Wadi Al-Nahla - Al-Beddawi, and (P.A.) in Al-Tanak neighborhood - Al-Beddawi, and (A.A.) in Al-Qarhani - Al-Beddawi. Arrest reports have been prepared against the violators, and legal action has been taken against them based on the advice of the competent judiciary.”
