The Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian, concluded his visit to Egypt after participating in the International Islamic Conference organized by the General Secretariat of the Roles and Fatwa Bodies in the World  in Cairo, entitled: “Family Challenges in Light of Major Transformations.” Mufti Derian and the delegations participating in the conference met with the Grand Imam, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, who wished Lebanon and its people “security, security and stability.” Mufti Derian stressed “strengthening relations between the House of Fatwa in the Lebanese Republic, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the Egyptian House of Fatwa, and the Ministry of Endowments, and the importance of coordination, cooperation, and communication for the benefit of the two countries,” and appreciated “Egypt’s keenness on Lebanon’s sovereignty, unity, and Arabism and supporting its institutions.” Praising its pioneering role in Lebanon and the region.
