The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, expressed his thanks for all the endeavors and efforts made, especially by the United States of America, led by its President Donald Trump, and international bodies, most notably the International Red Cross, which today led to the release of the first batch of Lebanese detainees by the Israeli government. He pointed out that this first step reaffirms the feasibility of the solid Lebanese position, with all its components, as well as the necessity of completing the required steps, which were stipulated in the tripartite framework of action. Reaching the restoration of full Lebanese sovereignty, without depriving an inch of our land, nor detracting from one of our people. President Aoun concluded by congratulating the freedom of each of the liberated prisoners, as well as to their families and families. Renewing the pledge to continue the struggle to fully achieve national demands and goals. May all Lebanese live with dignity in a free homeland, with no weapons on its land except for their legitimate forces alone, and no sovereignty over their children except for their protecting, guarantor, capable and just state.
