The Israeli army indicated that it raided Beirut yesterday, and eliminated the so-called Ayoub Hussein Yaqoub, a prominent member of the communications unit of the terrorist Hezbollah, who in the past held a high position in the Hezbollah missile unit, and was a central factor in managing the fires and participated in directing the launching and bombing operations towards the State of Israel during Operation Northern Arrows. The army noted that within the framework of his duties, Yaqoub also worked to build strength and enhance the capabilities of Hezbollah's missile unit.
The army also continued that the person called Yasser Muhammad Mubarak, another prominent member of the communications unit, was at the same time holding a position in the Hezbollah missile unit, and was eliminated during the operations.
During the hours last night, the IDF raided from the air and sea on dozens of targets in different areas of southern Lebanon, in support of the ground forces operating there, and as part of efforts to strip Hezbollah of its capabilities in the region, as it targeted weapons depots, launching pads, military buildings, and other terrorist infrastructure, and indicated the continuation of operations in this context.
