The Khalda area witnessed, at dawn on Wednesday, a violent explosion resulting from the targeting of a car with several missiles.  Immediately, civil defense teams rushed to the targeted location, where they worked to extinguish the fire that broke out in the targeted car. The Ministry of Health announced that two people died and three were injured. Later, the Israeli army targeted a number of cars in the ward, killing 5 people and wounding 21 others, according to an initial toll.
