Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed on Wednesday that "Israel supports Trump's decision to suspend strikes against Iran for two weeks." He added: "Israel supports US efforts to ensure that Iran will no longer pose any threat to the United States, to Israel, to Iran's neighbors, and to the world through nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles, and terrorism." According to a statement issued by his office, “The United States assured Israel that it is committed to achieving these goals in the upcoming negotiations.” Netanyahu  noted that “the ceasefire does not include Lebanon.” The American CNN network quoted a White House official as saying, on Wednesday, that Israel had also agreed to a temporary ceasefire with Iran. According to the official, Israel agreed to suspend its air campaign against Iran until negotiations with it continued.
