The Israeli political leadership is still adhering to its decision not to include Lebanon in the ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States, amid continued attacks on villages in southern Lebanon since the early morning hours. In an official announcement, the Israeli army said: “We have ended a wave of air strikes launched during the night on Iran, and we are continuing operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon,” stressing “the continuation of fighting and ground operations in Lebanon against Hezbollah.” He added: “A ceasefire in the campaign against Iran in accordance with directives from the political leadership.” The Israeli army issued an urgent warning to the residents of southern Lebanon located south of the Zahrani River.
