US President Donald Trump wrote on his account on the “Truth Social” platform, a short post that he attached to a link to a newspaper article entitled: “The trump card the president holds if Iran does not submit: a naval blockade.”
In the link to a television program, which discussed the idea of a naval blockade as a trump card in Trump’s hands, given that it succeeded with Venezuela, which led to a stifling naval blockade and ultimately to a bold military operation that resulted in the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
The journalist said, "If Iran refuses to accept the final agreement, which the United States presented on Saturday, Trump may bomb Tehran to return to the 'stone age,' as he promised."
According to what was mentioned in the program, it is ironic that the huge American aircraft carrier “Gerald Ford”, which led the blockade of Venezuela, is now in the Gulf region after a short period to carry out repairs and rest its crew following a deadly fire, now joining the other aircraft carrier “Abraham Lincoln” and other major naval assets.
The program continued: In short, experts believe that Trump is simply capable of bypassing the Iranian blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
“It would be very easy for the US Navy to exercise complete control over what comes in and out of the strait now,” Rebecca Grant, a national security expert at the Lexington Institute, told Just the News.
