Bekaa Intelligence carried out a raid on a residential apartment in the Barelias Plain, where a number of people of Syrian nationality were residing. Large quantities of narcotic substances were found inside, and a number of those present were arrested. During the operation, an exchange of fire broke out after some of the residents opened fire at the security personnel, who responded to the sources of fire, before taking control of the apartment and completing the raid successfully. The operation resulted in the seizure of more than one and a half million Captagon pills, in addition to more than 200 kilograms of hashish, which were prepared for smuggling into Syrian territory.
