US Vice President, J.D. Vance, made a call to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday, after his departure from Islamabad, during which he informed him of the latest developments related to the negotiations with Iran, which took place over the weekend and ended without reaching an agreement.
Netanyahu said that Vance assured him that removing the enriched materials and ensuring that uranium was not enriched was a fundamental issue.
He added: “If we and the American army had not done what we did, Iran would have come close to producing a nuclear bomb.”
He pointed out that there is daily and permanent coordination with the United States, considering that this level of cooperation “has not occurred in the history of the state and the Jewish people.”
Netanyahu stressed that the fighting is continuing, pointing to ongoing battles in Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon.
He added: “We are not talking about five sites in southern Lebanon, but rather about a security belt that aims to remove the threat of Hezbollah invasion and remove the missile threat.”
